Padre Pio
Padre Pio is the name of a priest and Capuchin monk, bornFrancesco Forgione on May, 25 1887 in Pietrelcina (Italy), and deceased on september 23, 1968 in San Giovanni Rotondo.
When Francesco was fifteen years old, he was admitted to the novitiate of the Capuchin Order of the Friars Minor in Morcone, Italy. He had taken the name Pio to honorate Pie V.  On Friday, September 20, 1918, while he was praying before a crucifix and making his thanksgiving after Mass. He was thirty-one years old and became the first stigmatized priest in the history of the Church.  Pope John Paul II canonized Padre Pio on June 16, 2002. Padre Pio was a man of prayer  -- he prayed  continually.
Padre Pio has a great protective strength which even emanates from his portraits.  Everything related to him diffuses Light.
